Claynosaurz, which originally got its start on Solana, is making its migration over to the Sui blockchain created by Mysten Labs. This expansion packs in a soon-to-be-released NFT collection, a new tiered reward system, and connects to its mobile game, which many excitedly await. Andrew Pelekis and his team at Thalo are using the web3 backend technology from Mysten Labs, called Walrus, which is powering this transition.

The best part is, the expansion really improves the game and introduces tons of new experiences for Claynosaurz fans. The iterative reward structure will be informed by user habits spanning NFT collecting, play-to-earn gaming and other forms of community participation. It will on-board staking mechanisms, enabling the holders to earn rewards based on their Solana and Sui-based assets.

Claynosaurz will launch its first collection on Sui, “Popkins Unleashed,” later this month. With the release of this story, we welcome a new character, Popkins, to the Claynosaurz IP. Gameloft’s partnership did just that, producing a mobile RPG which was previously announced for 2024. It’s currently scheduled to come out in 2025 for both iOS and Android devices. Even more excitingly, the game will be playable on Sui’s PC gaming handheld, SuiPlay0X1.

The changes the company discussed earlier this month on May 6 th through a Spaces session on X were logistically significant. The new character reveal came alongside the announcement of a new champions booster pack, which will feature Popkins, among other things. Other customization options will be added to booster packs along with shop discounts available on booster pack contents.

The previous NFTs that have already been minted by Claynosaurz will stay on the Solana blockchain. Most of these assets will be absorbed in the curriculum of the new features and releases, which are already outlined for the Sui ecosystem. This brings new holders into the exciting play-to-earn reward system while giving current holders a chance to enjoy the increased sharded gaming integrations.
